Vice President of Operations & Compliance - Remote


About The Position

Position Description

As Vice President of Operations & Compliance you will be a key member of the US management team reporting to the President & GM North America and lead US Operations and Compliance. You will also work closely with the worldwide management and product teams and advise on compliance with US health care regulations and administrative and customer facing operations. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and strategies to resolve them. You will manage the compliance and operations teams in the US.


Provide leadership, strategy and guidance to US and worldwide teams on compliance and regulatory issues.

Design the compliance strategy and implement an effective compliance program that prevents compliance issues from occurring; monitors with the business to detect issues and corrects those issues when detected through monitoring or regulatory audits

Establish and work with the accountable business owner to implement standard policies, training, procedures and align best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations.

Develop and implement the company’s vendor management program to ensure compliance with customer contracts, good practices and government regulations.

Develop and manage a medical claims billing group to ensure accurate and timely billing of customers.

Manage customer compliance reviews and audits.

Oversee US based operational aspects of customer implementations.

Consult and coordinate with new business/sales/product development to determine all regulations pertaining to any products being offered in the marketplace

Lead with strategic thinking, the ability to influence, strong communication skills (verbal/written) and the ability to translate and execute strategies


10+ years of experience working in a government, legal, healthcare, managed care and/or health insurance environment in a regulatory, privacy or compliance role

5+ years of experience supervising and leading a team

5+ years’ experience leading and implementing a comprehensive compliance program

5+ years’ experience with medical billing

Experience managing vendor management for a healthcare company

Ability to navigate a complex matrixed environment and drive to resolution

Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic vision and drive to improved and sustainable outcomes

Experience working with and influencing senior executives

Collaborative, accountable and agile team leader

Experience with small and large organizations and scaling companies
