Hint! To make habit building easier, reduce friction
When setting up a new habit, make it easy. That’s right, the easier you make it, the faster it will become a default ‘thing you just do’.

- If you join a gym, make it as close to your home or office as possible. The further away it is, the less likely you are to go regularly.
- If you want to eat a healthy breakfast, pre-make your breakfasts on Sunday and have them ready to go during your workweek.
- Pair a new habit with an old habit. If you make coffee every morning, make that your time to weigh in and check your blood sugar too.
- If you are cutting back on soda, replace that soda with something you like (coffee or unsweetened tea, sparkling or flavored water)
